Q: How can I apply for a membership?

A: Membership information and the application is available on our website here . You can read about the different types of memberships we offer and complete the application at your convenience in store, online or through the mail.

Q: I am not sure I shoot enough to justify a range membership. Do I need one?

A: Shooters World is open to the general public and membership is not required to use our shooting range. However, Keep in mind that our membership program is designed to pay for itself if you plan to shoot more than once per month and buy ammo. Also remember that membership carries special benefits and discounts including lane reservations.

Q: Can I bring my own ammo?

A: Yes, however there are limitations. All ammo must be jacketed and no steel cores, no tracers, armor piercing bullets, or reloads are allowed. Also remember that members receive a discount on range ammo. All gun rentals require the purchase of ammo from Shooters World.

Q: What are your hours of operation?

A: Monday - Saturday, 9AM - 9PM and Sunday 10AM - 7PM. The range closes 30 minutes prior to store close and does not rent firearms during the hour before store close. Our holiday schedule can be found here .

Q: Do you offer veteran discounts?

A: We offer discounted membership rates to retired military and law enforcement personnel. See the Military/ Law Enforcement Membership page here for more information.

Q: How do reservations work?

A: We require 24 hours advanced notice on reservations. Each Platinum member may reserve one lane. We will not reserve lanes for non-members or guests of members, however if space is available we are happy to issue separate lanes at the time of check in. Lane reservations will be held for 15 minutes. If the reservation is not filled within that time frame it will be pulled. Reserving specific lanes or adjacent lanes is a request we accommodate when possible – however it is not guaranteed. Reservations are subject to availability and not taken on holidays or event weekends.

Q: I am from a different state. Can I still shoot at the Shooters World?

A: Yes! All you need is a valid (government issued) photo ID in order to use our range (Passport, ID card, Driver’s License, etc).

Q: I am from a different country. Can I still shoot at the Shooters World?

A: If you are a permanent resident of the United States and have been issued a green card or are from a country which participates in the Visa Waiver Program, you may rent and shoot firearms at our range. Non-immigrant aliens which do not fall into either of those categories may also shoot at the range with a valid U.S. state-issued hunting license.
More information about the Visa Waiver Program >>

Q: How much does it cost?

A: It is $15 per person per hour to use the pistol range and $18 per hour on the rifle range. Semi-automatic gun rental fees can be viewed here .Fully automatic machine gun rental fees can be viewed here . These prices do not included ammunition or targets.

Q: Am I allowed to shoot my own firearm?

A: Yes. You may bring your own firearms to shoot. We require all firearms to be in a secure case, range bag, or holstered prior to entering our facility.

Q: I have never shot before. Do I need to take a class?

A: You do not need prior instruction in order to shoot at our range. We do require that you watch a safety video and fill out a waiver (before) using our facilities. We also offer private instruction and a wide variety of classes for everyone from first time to veteran shooters. A list of our available classes can be viewed here. We always encourage firearms training to enhance proficiency and safety.

Q: Do you sell firearms at Shooters World?

A: Yes! We have a giant retail floor with the largest selection of firearms for sale in the area.

Q: Can I shoot rifles and shotguns at your range? What kind of ammunition is allowed?

Shotguns are allowed, however the rounds must be slugs only. No birdshot, target loads, or buckshot is prohibited. We ask that you inform our range staff that you intend on shooting a rifle or shotgun prior to entering the range so that they may verify your ammunition is appropriate for use on our range.

Q: Do you have a ladies night?

A: We have an entire ladies day! On Mondays women who are non-members may use the range for free. Women who are members are entitled to a free handgun rental.

Q: What type of clothing is required to use the range at Shooters World? Do you have a dress code?

A: We don't have a dress code, however, we recommend shooters wear closed-toed footwear and shirts that aren't low cut to avoid getting burned by spent shell casings. Management reserves the right to ask anyone to leave due to inappropriate dress.
